This is great,Abe. Hopefully more and more folks will participate. I'm headed to the Lamar High School Class of '59 reunion tonight. I attended Lamar in Houston for one semester before moving to Corpus. How fun to have two reunions to celebrate!

BTW, is there any way we can delete the "Eleanor"? I have my name legally changed to Angel in 1966, but kept Fay, so I am legally Angel Fay now. I know that is how it is recorded in the yearbook, and it's no big deal - I just wondered. Thanks.

A big high five to all of us who have made it this far in life - ain't it grand? My number in Houston is 713/412-8013 if anyone is passing through and has time for a visit - would love to see you.

I just discovered that MCHSCC is on Twitter and can be followed. Apparently it comes straight from the school. But the most recent posting is a month ago, Oct 16. There was a posting about homecoming and the pep rally and "burning of the C".

I just discovered this site. I was hoping someone would be putting together a reunion. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in October, 2010. I'm not far away, just down the road in Port Lavaca. If you get over our way, drop in. I pastor First United Methodist Church in P.L. God bless you all.

This web site is really fantastic! You guys are so talented! I am really looking forward to the reunion next year. I have a question. Does anyone know where the choir teacher, March Artus, is?

I just read about Sid's wife. How tragic. How is he and the family doing? Will there be updates?

Just saying hi to everybody and seeing if this thing still works! Hee-hee! Our lil town in southeastern OK missed a bullet. We didn't get any of the winter storm ice/snow predicted, YAY! But 30 miles north of here froze up, & further north treacherous driving conditions. Me, I'm at home with my faithful dog Lobo. Love to all y'all, Geneva

P.S. Here's a corny homemade video for you to watch while you have your coffee. Lobo my deerhead chihuahua interacting with a wild deer. We were just walking along & I happened to be filming my Dad's place near Texarkana and caught this video.

Well, I tried twice to post video. Guess I don't know how. Back to the drawing board.

I wonder if any of you noticed that the class of 59 picture is under class of 60 and visa versa..LOL
I am so looking forward to coming to the reunion, have not been to one so it will be one fun experience.
I am so glad that the three classes are combined as I am most anxious to see some of my old friends from my church as well.

This is a great web site. I have really enjoyed browsing through and seeing what my classmates have been up to over the years. I am looking forward to the reunion in October.

So far I have only missed one reunion over the years. That was the 2000 reunion because my employer was afraid to let me go out of town due to Y2K fears.

I was looking at the birthdays for today 02/11/2010 and noticed that Sarah Palin was supposedly born in 46. I thought, "Wow, she sure looks good for someone that old.". I really think whoever typed that in had a moment of dyslexia. It should be 1964. :)

My mistake, the 46 is supposed to be her age not the year she was born. Alas, another senior moment.

Melvin, senior moment? what are those? I still like to say 'blonde moments". LOL

Back in my high school days, Ronnie Murray, Charles Alexander, and one of our friends from flour bluff had a small string band with drums. After high school we went our separate ways and I then just played my guitar mostly just for my own enjoyment and to entertain various girl friends.

After I met my wife and got married, I had a lot of other distractions such as my career and raising my family, so I did not play my guitar but just a couple of times a year. Of course you get pretty rusty after a while without practice.

Now that we are empty nesters, I have found more time to play and decided that I am going to try to regain a little of my prior abilities and maybe even learn some new stuff.

I like to play country and bluegrass. I will probably bring my guitar when I come down for the reunion. If there are any of you that also play and would like to get together and jam a little, let me know. I have to warn you though that I am not very good, but it would be fun if we have the time.
